Join us October 30th at 7pm. Brooklyn-based jazz trio Pavillion — Solomon Gottfried (bass), Tim Watson (guitar), and Connor Parks (drums) — perform a live, improvised score to Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope. The film unfolds in one continuous scene with little original music, leaving space for the trio to weave a haunting, spontaneous soundtrack — a perfect fusion of jazz and suspense for Halloween.

run time: 1 hour 20 min

Tickets include a signature drink & Build-Your-Own taco bar.  BYO and curious kids are welcome.

__tpx__“Pavilion” is a Brooklyn based trio consisting of Solomon Gottfried on double bass/electronics, Tim Watson on guitar/sound design and Connor Parks on drums. The group explores the duality between texturally expansive improvisations and the rhythmic innovations in Jazz and American musics of the 20th and 21st century. Moving past the conventions of the guitar-trio format, the ensemble dissolves fixed instrumental roles in favor of a fluid, timbral exchange. This practice has drawn them into collaboration with visual and movement artists, and into settings from galleries and DIY spaces to New York’s premier jazz clubs. As bandleaders and sidemen in their own right, they have performed with the likes of Immanuel Wilkins, Joel Ross, Emmanuel Michael, Ali Sethi, Dayna Stephens, Micah Thomas, Flanafi, Kalia Vandever, Adam O’Farrill, Cisco Swank, Nicole Glover, Marta Sanchez, and Aaron Parks.
